Focus on reducing complexity and the number of custom solutions.

If the customer’s current system is an older version of LS Nav or LS Central on-premises, they may not need all their existing customizations once they move to the latest version.

When you review the system, get acquainted with what features and technologies are new in the latest versions of LS Central and which functionality has been removed.

When you reduce customizations,

• You may have to make compromises on ideal functionality.

On the upside:

• You reduce maintenance overhead.
• Future updates will be much easier.
• You improve usability and speed up user adoption.
• The functionality you used to customize may be part of or in the road map of standard LS Central.

If you still decide to add customizations, you must ensure they are built so they will stay intact when Business Central or LS Central are updated.
